umbra
About the project
LOCATION — Novi Sad, Serbia
PROJECT TYPE — Residential Interiors
YEAR — 2025
Umbra is a contemporary residential interior focused on elegance, functionality and atmosphere. The living area, compact kitchen, workspace and bathroom are brought together through a consistent material language and carefully coordinated details.
Concept
The concept balances contemporary comfort with subtle classical references. Functional areas are clearly organized yet visually connected through recurring materials, tones and details. Custom-made furniture supports efficient use of the available space.
Design and materials
Dark timber, warm brown and taupe tones, light stone, leather and neutral wall finishes create the material palette. Light stone in the kitchen and bathroom contrasts with darker joinery, while bronze and metal details add refinement.
Spatial aesthetics
Darker tones, warm ambient lighting and selected details create an intimate atmosphere, while lighter surfaces maintain visual balance and prevent the interior from feeling heavy.
